The moon beams looked down on the large beach. They watched as the waves lapped the sea shore. The land was peaceful and the only sound was the lapping of the waves and the sound of the breeze going through the trees. The moon beams caught a figure near the edge of the sand, where the grass was formed into sand. The figure was close to the color of the moon itself. The figure turned to show that it was a horse, the leader of the dark land. The figure began to move down the shore. The gray mane was pulled by the breeze, and the tail moved like a flag. The dark hooves made prints in the sand, only to be washed away by the waves. The figure stopped and stared out to the ocean, the black water was not inviting in the darkness, but it lapped at the figure's hooves saying, Come to me. The figure stood, it's mane and tail moved as one as the breeze took it from the neck. The figure was Kohala the leader of the night herd.

"Come and ride the waves, As the music plays, Dance with fire in the night, With the moon as guiding light, Come and dance beneath the waves, And we can play for days and days..."
A form blotched with whites and blacks appeared on the horizon, galloping down into the waves and sending the water scattering about her. Her beauty was strong, but it was confined within a childish happy life form. Masked Beauty was now older, but her happiness and youth had remained. She danced from the waves to join Kohala upon the shore, whickering a hello as she went, her tones happy.
"Dance with fire, Dance with death, But a dance with water, That's the best."

The figure turned, his body had aged as well, but his spirit was still like a colt's. He threw his head up and pranced to meet his fae. "Well Beautiful, it is nice to see you." He said in a happy tone. His blue eyes were shinning in the night. He pranced around her, his tail high and proud.

"Lord Kohala!" She chimed happily, tossing her dial as she did so. She pranced around him, kicking up her heels as she did so. Finally she snorted happily. "Our new life, is starting now, isn't it? And this is the part where we live happily ever after." She giggled.

He smiled, his eyes shinning like the moon. "Yes, it is my dear." He stood still now, the dark water lapping at his hooves showed how close he was to the ocean. He looked up to see his herd moving down the hill to dance in the water. Foals and mares were walking down, but none were his, only his fathers. He smiled and then looked back to his fae.

Masked Beauty giggled and trotted to the herd, dancing amounst them and finally she lured a few small foals into the sea to dance. The foals giggled and danced with her, obviously happy. Beauty reared up and neighed, showing her joy.

The stallion watched his fae until he heard a small nicker. He turned and saw two eyes staring at him through the trees. He looked and tried to figure out what it was. Then the eyes blinked, closed and they were gone. Until a form came out of the trees. It was a small fae. He snorted and then walked up to her, his hooves getting used to the grass again. He dipped his head to her and said, "I am Kohala, the leader of this herd. Can I help you?" His blue eyes looked down on the fae.
Two brown eyes looked up to the stallion. The fae's frame was small, but was muscular. Her pelt was a bay with a black mane and tail. She had three stockings on her back legs and one on her front leg. The other was left plain. She had a long white stripe down her nose. She swished her tail and said, "Yes, you can help me. My name is Lilly and I am looking for a herd." Her voice was proud, but held something else.
He smiled and said, "You may join this herd if you wish." He let her ask a few more questions and then he watched her walk away from him and to the sea. He saw her mane pulled by the breeze and he knew she was made for this herd, even if she was a pony.

Beauty had joined the essa's upon the shore, dancing in the moonlight and shadows. Her hooves barely touched the earth as she spun about, rearing and leaping with the other faes, so much so that she didn't notice the new arrival.

Lilly walked over to the others and began to meet them. She smiled to some of the fillys. She was about the same size as most of them. She knew she would never get bigger, but that wasn't a big deal to her. She just wished she could meet someone like her. She swished her tail as she greated a few colts.
Kohala smiled as he saw the new one being talked to. He looked over to Beauty and smiled, he was glad she was apart of the herd with him now.

Beauty tossed and shook her dial, saying goodbye to the mares whom she had danced with as she did so. She turned to Kohala, and instead of greeting him, she danced about him happily, pausing only when she saw the new arrival. Beauty wasn't much bigger, as she had retained her childish demeanor and looks, but she was no pony, that was for sure. She looked at Kohala, knowing he had accepted the new mare into the herd, and she was glad.
