A blue roan colt walked out of the tall grass. He could hear the ocean's waves from where he was standing. He smiled to himself and then broke into a trot, he wanted to see the ocean. He had made his way from one end of his land to the other and now he was clear at the end of his land.
It had once been his father's but after his father had passed on he was to be the new leader. He was one of the oldest colts that his father had sired. His herd was small at the moment, but that was because most of the mares had died off along with his father. They all had the same sickness. Even his mother had died along with his father and that killed him.
He was near the ocean now, the sound of the waves getting stronger and the sent of the salt water was very strong. He let a joyful neigh escape him, then he broke into a canter. He slid to a stop when his hooves touched the sand. He was here at the edge of his land, but he also was the leader of all the water. And that water lead to Eclissi's land, they connected.

A fae was prancing admist the waves, her pelt was stunning roan grey, but melded with patches of white, and her rump was dotted with icy spots. Her dial had a large star, and she was all and all rare, her coat was both patched and spotted, making her a pintaloosa. She splashed in the waves, oblivious to the stallion nearby as she giggled and tossed her dial happily.

The blue turned his head when he heard the giggle. He hadn't heard any of his faes do that sense his father had died. He saw that this fae wasn't one of his. He let a whinny escape him and then he trotted towards her. His black mane flew out behind him, and his tail stood tall. He came near her and made her stop before he looked at her. She was beautiful, but different and not one of his mares. "I am West. Are you lost?" He asked her. His eyes showed concern. He didn't want one of the leaders coming to his land and making a big deal about him having one of their mares. He did not want that!

The fae stopped and watching him, blinking and not speaking. When she did it was accompanied by a giggle. "No silly, I'm not lost. I'm from the North Herd but I left with my twin sister. We split up a while back and I ended up here. Oh, I'm Rosa." Her tones were sweet and giggly, but she appeared like a tomboy. She blinked and tossed her dial a bit, the waves coming down about her like rain, which was good because her name meant Rain.

The dark pelted leader looked at the beautiful filly. "Well why did you leave North's herd?" He asked her. They had all meet twice near the end of his father's life, but that was the only time he had meet the other three leaders. He swished his black tail, his dark green eyes looked over her. Not because he was checking her out, he just wanted to see what a North mare looked like.

Rose snorted in a childish way. "Well, my brother told me not to talk to strangers, but I guess it wont hurt... We left because we felt like it. My brother - North - said we should come this'sa ways, coz we'd be safe here." North mares came in all sizes and forms, particulary as North had a habit of gethering any lost mares and letting them join his herd. Rosa was well muscled, a bit stocky, but pretty in her own way, and very exotically patterned.

"Well you can talk to me." He smiled and swished his black tail. He looked at her and then asked, "Would you like to go for a walk?" The ocean was loud as he spoke to her, so he had to raise his voice some.

Rosa dipped her dial. "Okay." She tossed her dial and kicked up her heels before running to the shore. She skidded to a halt in the sand and whickered happily before looking around. She still seemed cheerful.

He smiled and then he started to walk. His dark colored hooves made prints in the sand. He smiled when he saw her happy. He hoped that she would stay with him. He moved into a trot, knowing she would join him soon. He threw his head up and tossed his mane in the air. It came back down with a little slapping sound.
