Eclissi gave a whicker to the colts. He hadn't meant to stop there run, in fact he'd found it intresting to see them run. He turned his pools to the scenery, not doubting the fact that almost all eyes were on him adressing the colts and filla. He suddenly gave a colt like smirk, and looked back, servaying all the colts then the filla last. "I'll give you a race." So he could act like a colt sometimes? Odd.

She snorted and said, "A race? Between us? Or you and the herd?" She wasn't sassy, but not nice either. She was just being a boy, in a girls body. She stamped a hoof and the rest of the colts nodded. She wasn't the leader of the herd, but she was close to it.

"Me against who ever wants to race. Or are you scared you'll lose?" He was showing more of his colt personality. His pools wandered over the colts. "I mean, if your not up to it, then I guess I could find some others to race." He shrugged his blades.

She snorted, along with two other colts. She looked at them. It was the big black colt, with long legs. And the other was her follower. The little bay. She looked down at him and shook her head no, she didn't want him to get hurt. She looked back to the leader. "I will and so will Midnight here." She pointed to the black one. Her blue eyes were almost one fire with the challange. She could beat this colt.

"Sure thing. Let's go then. We'll start at the river, and the race ends with whoever reaches the forests first." That was a fair way off, but he knew they could handle it. He wasn't short, nor extreamly tall, but had long fair legs. He was strong like his grandfather, and had the grace of his mother and speed of his father. He turned and began towards the lake at a walk, taking the moment to warm up before pausing and looking towards the two challengers.

The golden fae snorted and then looked at the little bay before she walked off. She was already warmed up and ready to go, but she kept her pace at a walk, until they got close. Then she moved into a trot, her flow perfect and without flaw. She passed the leader, her eyes not even looking at him. He was just another colt in her eyes right now. The black followed behind, his long legs he almost tripped over. They were now at the river and ready to go.

An elder fae had agreed to do the countdown, and she waited until they were all lined up before she snorted. "Three. Two. One. GO!"
For a heartbeat Eclissi didn't move, but then he took off, his legs at a slow gallop, conserving his energy. He could run, but for the moment he was relying on stamina. Then he'd show what he was really made of.

The black shot off, jumping a log before he made any speed. He lost his blance and he fell into the river beside him. The herd of colts began to squell with laughter in seeing their friend fall. The gold one laughed but kept on, her legs moving at a nice pace. Like the pace the herd was galloping at. She looked around her, seeing the view. She was only a little bit ahead of the colt, but not much. She threw her head up and was close to the one third mark.

The race went on like that for some time, and as the tree line came into veiw, Eclissi snorted and put on the speed. His dial was held low, his belly almost grazing the ground as he sprinted, gaining ground and flying closer to the trees. At that pace, with the shadows dancing on his coat, it was almost as if it was Noche running the race, but as he again slipped into the sun it was like Le was raceing. But it wasn't. Eclissi was the one racing and he smirked to himself. He didn't get to run often, but he loved it.

She also saw the tree line. Her speed over took her. She moved close to the stallion, like she was running in the herd, then she made another birst of speed. Her neck was almost flat with her body. Her mane and tail were pulled out behind her. The only thought on her mind was getting to the trees.
OOC-Lets have them tie!

Eclissi slammed on the speed, but as he did so he noticed a fallen tree. He could either swerve of jump it, but jumping it at the speed he was going would be dangerous. He broke ahead of her and suddenly leapt up, frozen for an instant, flying over the log before landing. His hooves hit the soft soil of the forest just as he felt her brake through the tree line. They had tied. His pelt was sleek, but he wasn't sweaty at all. His banners streaked behind him as he paced in place. He snorted.

She snorted as she jumped, their movments the same as if they were the same horse. She slowed down into a canter once she had come to the tree line. She knew they had tied. She snorted at herself and threw her heals up. She heard the colts coming towards her. Soon she was in a group of colts, and they were all talking to her at once. She looked around for the leader of the herd, wondering if he had anything to say to her.

Eclissi had backed off from the colts, but his pools caught hers through the mix of colt's bodies and in a short instant so only she would notice, he bowed his dial. A show of respect for her tieing with him. He pranced from the forest and started the walk back to the herd, ignoring the comments of the fillies and mares as he passed. They were all his herd, but he had no friends, no real family, no one to cheer him on. He didn't seem to mind, but he was glad for her. Soon he was exiled upon his watching place again.

Natala was getting worried, the sunset was not far off and Mask wasn't back yet. She sighed when she saw the young colt cantering towards her. She touched his neck and sighed. He snorted and stamped a hoof and pulled away from her. He didn't want any of his friends to see that. She pointed to their spot and walked over to Eclissi. "I saw your race. Why did you pick that herd to race?" She knew the reason why, but she wanted to know if he would tell her.
Pieces moved away from the rest of the colts, going over to Midnight. He was really wet and standing on the side of the bank of the river. She shook her head and stood next to him for a moment before she walked away. Alone again.

Eclissi dipped his head, his banners once again covering his pools. "Because she was in it." His pools watched the golden filla for a moment, before turning to gaze the other way. He would speak of it no more. He turned his dial to see Mask had returned and slightly smirked.
