For a long moment Eclissi did not speak, but the wind was tossing his banner, hiding his pools in the way it had once hidden Noches. Finally he spoke. "Summon is not the word I would use, but yes. You." His pools blinked, but she wouldn't see that. Muscles danced along his pelt as he shifted his weight to another hoof.

She blinked once, and you could see that. Then she took a step forward and walked up the slope to stand beside him. She swished her tail and looked at him. She didn't like how his eyes were hidden, but if she wished it to be like that, then it would be like that. "What to you wish for?" She asked him. She looked down, like she was a slave to him, then she looked up. Her eyes held pride and a little bit of hope. She was a tomcolt and wasn't afraid of anyone.

Eclissi was glad for his hidden pools as it hid his sadness that she treated him like a slave master and not a friend. "I wish for nothing. I have all I need. I just want to talk. Do you think you can do that without treating me like a ringling brother?" A slight amount of sarcasm showed in his voice before he looked back to the land, his coat dancing with the sunlight on it.

She looked out over the land as well. Their coats stood out beside each other. His dark one next to her gleaming golden one. She swished her cream colored tail and said, "Sure." She hoped one simple word would let him understand she was now herself, and no one else. No fancy filly, but herself, a tomcolt. She looked to him and moved her forlock so her eyes were covered as well. She didn't look as pretty that way though. She giggled and then moved her forlock away again, showing those blue eyes. She was a beautiful filla. She said, "What do you want to talk about?" Her eyes were shinning now, showing she was herself.

Eclissi stamped a hock as a bug bit at his hock, and he brushed his maw against his leg to rid himself of an itch that had been pestering him. "I don't know." He admitted as his dial came to rest at it's natural height and he turned his lock covered pools to her, wearing a smile.

Natala gazed up from her grazing spot and the grass in her maw almost fell out. She saw the two, standing side by side. She swallowed her grass and then nickered to some of the other mares around her to look up, and they did. They all exchanged smiles and then went back to grazing, but Natala stayed put, watching the two.
The golden fae looked at him. "Well you called me over here." She said with laughter in her voice. The thoughts in her head were nothing. She forgot about the other fae he had met in the woods and her thoughts were only on him, and her.

"Because I enjoy your company." Eclissi spoke lightly, his happiness clear. He was glad that he was no longer alone, and he did not feel as exiled when he was with her. "Your... different." And he meant it in a good way.

She smiled to him, her eyes shinning. "I am different." Her eyes lost her shine and her smile began to fade. She looked away from him and said, "All of the other fillys treat me different because I run with a colt herd, not a prissy filly herd." She snorted and pinned her ears back, showing her anger in the other females. She sighed and looked at him, her eyes now saddened. "Is different a good thing?"

Eclissi didn't reply, but he pressed his maw to her side. "I can't answer that. I have never been part of a herd in the way that you are, but it seems to me that you should be happy to have friends and not care what the other fillies think." He took his maw away and gazed out at the land. He sometimes wished he was just a normal colt and didn't have the burden of the land on his shoulders, his only friend being so very far away. He missed North when ever they were not together.

She felt his touched and she smiled. She had been touched my many colts, but never one she liked this much. She felt the breeze blow, but it was only a faint touch. She sighed and said, "You're right." She held her head high and said, "I'll just stay with my colt herd and be happy." She giggled and let her head back to normal and sighed. It was nice to talk with the leader.

Eclissi sighed in a content way and dipped his head to shake a bug off. He gazed about the land and suddenly tensed up, his legs moved and he leapt down the cliff face, skidding to a halt before galloping across the land as fast as he could. He screamed angriliy, scattering mares as he ran and finally slammed into the danger he'd seen. A crag cat, huge as it was, had been dragging a young foal from the land. The foal was shrieking in fear, and it's mother was hovering nearby, whickering for help.
For almost an hour Eclissi battled the cat and finally won. The mare stood protectivly over her foal who was unharmed and gazed at the stag who was trembling on his legs, blood dripping down his maw and hide. He snorted to clear the blood and walked away from the dead cat, to the waters edge and dipped his maw into the water, letting the cold liquid take him. Moments later he walked back to his post, tired and hurting.

Peices stood with the fae and the scared foal as she watched him fight the cat. She walked with him back to the post and stood next to him, her eyes were worried. "Are you okay?" She asked him as she looked over the land. The herds were now going back to their places and some began grazing again. She shook her pelt from the shivver she felt. She sighed and touched his shoulder with her maw. She was worried about him.

Eclissi made no reply. He sunk to his knees and dropped his dial to the earth, his sides heaving as he drew quick uneven breaths. He was exhausted from the fight, and he shook his maw to clear the blood that had gathered in his nares.

She stood near him, knowing he was not alright. She didn't lie down, for she never did unless the herd of colts was around her. She bent her head down to his and touched the tip of his maw with her own, like a light kiss. She pulled back enough so that she could see his whole face. She sighed and then began to nuzzle his neck, trying to comfort him.
Natala ran up the post, looking at the golden fae. She walked over to them, her long smooth movements brought her to them quickly. She looked at Ecissi and asked, "Should I go get the healing fae?" She had the worried look in her eyes, and she knew the healing fae herself. She waited for the colt's answer.

Eclissi's pools fell closed and his movement stopped all together. He was too tired to reply and it was almost as if he had fainted. His dial moved only slightly as he slept, but all he truly needed was rest for a while, and then he would be fine.
No luck. A mighty stallions cry echoed over the land and a stag charged down the horizon, his coat of rippling black as far as the eye could see. He was well muscled and handsome, and as he ran the sun made his pelt ripple with shadows and sunlight. He made no attempt to herd mares, chase foals or anything, only to run towards the lead, leap up the cliff face and skid to a halt, the sunlight illuminating his dotted pelt. He was North.
